Surprise party

Greg sent the following email to his three adult kids on his 70th birthday, June 15th, 2013:

My tennis friends had a surprise birthday party for me yesterday.

Here’s the thank you e-mail I sent today.

Then Mum made pancakes for breakfast. She even insisted on doing the dishes.

I’m a lucky guy!

It’s Saturday, June 15th, my 70th birthday.

The sun’s shining brightly, what a beautiful day for tennis!

THANK YOU for the amazing surprise party!

The food was spectacular, the hospitality and friendship so wonderful!

(I’m not used to putting exclamation marks at the end of every sentence.)

This was over-the-top special, I feel very blessed and it looks like this is going to be the happiest year of my life. I guess it’s true that you get happier as you get older.

Thank you everyone for all the time and effort that goes into making this happen. It was a really special occasion for Valerie and me.
